Expanding Dispatcher Stratus' Workflow Capabilities
Konica Minolta is once again expanding Dispatcher Stratus’ workflow automation capabilities. The newly released 2D Barcode Processing and Barcode Processing nodes make the product even more powerful and versatile, giving organizations the opportunity to create new workflows that take advantage of dozens of new scanning options.
2D Barcode Processing and Barcode Processing
Many industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and education, use barcodes to help identify documents. These barcodes are typically scanned by hand, which is a time-intensive process.
The 2D Barcode Processing and Barcode Processing nodes can be configured to scan a page for one or more types of barcodes and extract the data contained within them. This data is then made available to the workflow in the form of metadata, where it can be used, modified, or saved.
The following barcode types are supported:
2D Barcode Processing
- QR Code
- Micro QR Code
- rMQR Code
- Aztec
- Data Matrix
- PDF417 Code
Barcode Processing
- Code 39
- Code 93
- Code 128
- UPC-A
- UPC-E
- Codabar
- EAN-8
- EAN-13
- DataBar
- DataBar Expanded
- ITF
Once scanned, the barcode metadata can be used in many ways, such as intelligent routing, and even folder naming. By automating these processes with Dispatcher Stratus, organizations can save valuable time on a daily basis.
By combining barcode data with automated workflow logic, Dispatcher Stratus allows organizations to move beyond basic document capture and into more intelligent processing. Instead of manually identifying, sorting, and routing documents, workflows can use barcode metadata to drive those actions automatically. This helps standardize how documents are handled and reduces the time spent on repetitive tasks.
Advanced Document Processing Made Simple
The 2D Barcode Processing and Barcode Processing nodes are now available with every Dispatcher Stratus license.
